Academic Wellness and Success Program

The African American Child Wellness and Success Program is a school-linked program designed to increase the availability of mental health services to children (Pre-K to 18 years) of African descent in their homes, schools, communities and in our offices through the use of face-to-face and telehealth platforms.

Our program provides approximately 8-10 hours of direct mental health services that are provided to children of African descent who are uninsured or underinsured.

Thus, this program is designed to cover the costs for mental health care services, such as mental health screenings, diagnostic assessments, or psychotherapy treatment including individual, group and family sessions through the use of culturally specific providers and/or culturally congruent evidence-based interventions that have been deemed effective with our specific cultural population.
